Apt as our Low German national poet Fritz Reuter (1810 - 1874) one can hardly describe our beautiful Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania vacation country and particularly the Ruegen vacation objective.
The Ruegen island is shaped through the Baltic Sea coast with miles long, snow-white, fine-sandy, marvellously wide and as a matter of course freely accessible flat beaches.
Also the landscape of the Ruegen island (Courage country) and their islands and peninsulas (Halbinsel Wittow, yes mouth peninsula, monk good peninsula, Insel Ummanz, Insel Hiddensee, Insel Vilm) is unique, that with their steep coast sections, as the "Cape Arkona" on the peninsula Wittow or through the world-famous chalk cliffs on the yes mouth peninsula, the pivot and the Wissower handles that already inspired Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840), a son of Pomerania (born in Greifswald) and one of the best landscape painters of the romanticism.
Also the Boddenlandschaft (Nationalpark Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft) of our Ruegen island is unmistakable for example. She offers a unique natural play with their shallow bay bars and bays, wooded lowlands and moraine hills for our vacation guests every year in the spring or fall. Because thousands of cranes, wild geese and other migrants turn the Ruegen island into one of the biggest long-term resting places anyway.
However also the wonderful avenues, that old Fisherman- and newer sport boat harbors, the castles and mansions, the healthy sea climate and the diverse one Accommodation-, Culture-, Sport-, Leisure Time- and Wellness, all in everything, the unison of nature, presence, history and tradition, is with security a reason for our Ruegen island being the discovery for our guests for their next vacation and taking one of the first places thus in the top of the German vacation regions. Here vacation simply does fun.
