In Wiek there are many small businesses (among other things Edeka, Schlecker), hotels, pensions, restaurants, car workshops, bike rental company, a baker's shop with Cafe and a surfing-school / Kitesurfschool. Close to Wiek (approx. 4 km) one of the superbeaches of the island, a bay bar about 10 km long and approx. 30 m wide, white and fine-sandy, "The Schaabe", lies.
